Questions about Your Voice

  • How do I become a member?

    It's very easy. Simply fill in your details on our sign-up page. We'll send you a link to the application form so you are able to confirm your membership. If you are 14 or younger, ask your parent or guardian to apply on your behalf and become a member and you can take part in the surveys via them.

  • Can I join if I live outside Australia?

    No, unfortunately membership of this online panel is open only to Australian residents.

  • Will it cost me anything if I join Your Voice?

    There are no costs associated with joining the panel and you can leave at any time. You do however, need an email address to receive invitations to participate in surveys and you need to be able to access the Internet to complete online surveys.

  • What happens after I join?

    We will send you an email welcoming you to Your Voice. After that, we'll contact you periodically by email to invite you to take part in surveys. The email will contain all the information you need to participate. Once you complete a survey you'll have the opportunity to earn points, and also be entered into our quarterly cash prize draw.

  • Why do I need to fill out my profiles?

    Profiles are sets of questions that allow us to learn more about you, your preferences, purchases and daily habits. We then evaluate this information and determine your qualification for surveys. Topics vary and include general questions about profession, electronics, household, travel, beauty and more. However, we can't guarantee survey participation should you complete all your profile surveys as qualification depends on the responses you provide per study.

  • What do I do if I can't login?

    Please make sure there are no blank spaces before or after you entered your email address or password. If you forget your password, please click on the 'Forgot password?' link on the homepage and enter your email address. Our system will send you a reminder for your password to help you log-in. If you still can't log-in, please submit a question at the upper right hand section of this page and our Support Team will gladly assist you.

Questions about Surveys

  • Why are surveys conducted?

    Businesses, governments, public bodies and similar organisations are interested in the views and attitudes of the people who use their products and services. The more they know about what citizens and consumers think, the easier it is for them to improve and adapt what they supply.

  • How often am I going to be asked to complete surveys?

    We are regularly sending out survey invitations, but cannot say who or when any member will receive invitations as each of our surveys is customised and based around the research goals for each individual client. Depending on your profile, we may ask you to complete surveys more or less often than once per month. For this reason, we ask you to keep your profile as up to date as possible. Please note some firewalls may prevent delivery of our survey invitations.

  • How long does an average survey take to complete?

    The number of questions vary from one survey to another. We try to keep surveys as enjoyable as possible, although we have to make sure the results are meaningful. In general the survey lengths range from 10 to 40 minutes. Generally speaking, the longer the survey the more points it should offer. From time to time we run special projects for clients where the survey might be one or two hours and these are rewarded at a much higher level.

  • What do I get for taking your surveys?

    Each time you complete a client survey (these are different to profile surveys), you are rewarded with points which you can use to redeem for any of our existing reward options once the required minimum is reached.  Aside from getting points, you also get an entry to our quarterly cash prize draw. Whilst profile surveys do not offer points, they will help you receive more survey opportunities.

Questions about Rewards

  • How am I eligible to get a quarterly prize draw entry?

    Panel members are entered into the prize draw once they sign-up for the panel. Panel members also receive an entry every time they complete a survey, receive a screened out notice, receive a quota full message regarding a survey, or update their profile upon request.

  • What are the prizes in the prize draw?

  • What is the age requirement for the prize draw?

    Eligibility for the Prize Draw is limited to those individuals satisfying the eligibility requirements set forth in the Prize Draw Terms.

  • How will I know if I am the prize draw winner?

    The drawing will be held according to the schedule and rules set forth in the Prize Draw Terms. The winner will be notified either by email, telephone, or registered mail after the date of the random drawing.

    Questions about Privacy

    • If I become a member of Your Voice, will I receive emails advertising other products and services?

      No. We do not sell or give away the contact details of our members and we carry no advertising on the site. We will never try to sell you a product or service, and companies who use our services have no direct access to your details.

    • Who can I talk to if I have any Privacy concerns?

      A link to our Privacy Policy is available at the bottom of most pages on the Your Voice website including this page. Please review our Privacy Policy for contact information.

    • Why do you need my personal information?

      We need personal information about you for a number of industry specific reasons. Here are a few; to tailor survey invitations to you and to closely monitor fraudulent activity. For example, to avoid bias our projects are evenly targeted by residential postcode or your age and occupation (as one example). As we have a two members per household rule (to again eliminate bias in our sample) we need your data to cross reference. Your information also allows SSI to communicate with you about your panel membership and survey participation. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more information.

    • Why did I get an email with a link to join Your Voice if I didn't apply myself?

      It is possible that someone made a typing error and accidentally submitted your email address while asking to become a member of Your Voice. It's also possible that someone has used your email address without your permission. If you don't want to join, simply ignore the email and the reminder that will be sent. Your details will not be included on our members' list and you will not be contacted again. If you keep receiving emails you can click on the Contact Us link within every email for further assistance.

    • What is a Cookie Notice?

      Our website uses first and third party cookies and other technologies so that we can remember you, understand how you use our site and our surveys, and to prevent fraud.  To know more about this, you may visit our Privacy Policy.
